My Trip To The South Beach Wine & Food Festival With Capital One

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve likely seen by now that I recently returned from a trip to Miami with Capital One to experience their cardholder activations at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival! I vlogged my entire experience and shared it on my IGTV, and shared a lot on my Instagram Story (check my SOBEWFF highlight) but also wanted to give a full run down of everything I experienced on here.

Barilla Italian Bites On The Beach

For my first event, we headed to Italian Bites On The Beach, sponsored by Barilla. Capital One cardholders had early access 45 minutes ahead of general admission ticket holders to get the first taste of some of the yummy dishes. Plus, cardholders had access to a DIY cocktail topping bar for drinks made by bartenders from the iconic Cafe La Trova. I even got to take home a monogrammed coaster to commemorate the experience! Many eats were local to the greater Miami area, but there were also dishes available from New York, California, and more. I hope to see more vegan representation in the future, but I loved Chef Chloe’s vegan carbonara, and The Melted Scoop’s dairy free Italian ice!

Capital One Café

On Friday, I headed to the Capital One Café with their team to enjoy coffee and conversation. Not only was there ample workspaces (this is at their Lincoln Road location), but the space was bright and beautiful. As someone who works remotely, this is so important to me! Here are a few cool features available at their café’s:

  • Money Coaching: Even if you’re not a Capital One customer, you can set up a free 1-on-1 session. These sessions are judgment free and confidential, and last about an hour each.

  • 50% Off: Capital One cardholders get 50% off of Peet’s beverages! Honestly, that’s reason enough to have a card with them. While you’re there, grab a locally baked pastry!

  • Community Driven Spaces: Each café is equipped with a private community room, dedicated to benefit registered nonprofits, student clubs, and alumni groups. You can easily sign up to reserve the room online!

  • Financial Events: Each café hosts a variety of financial-focused events each month, with topics ranging from “how to check your credit report” to “loving your financial self.”

Amare Ristorante

After some down time, I headed to a cardholder exclusive dinner at Amare Ristorante, hosted by Bobby Flay, Tommaso De Simone, and Cosimo Cassano. It was a bit windy outside, but it wasn’t anything cozy blankets and delicious food couldn’t fix. They made me a vegan pasta dish since I couldn’t eat anything on the tasting menu, and it was great!

Pie-Making Class

On Saturday, we kicked off the afternoon with another cardholder exclusive: a pie-making class led by Michael McGowan, the co-founder of Pink Pie! I absolutely love baking, but haven’t taken a proper class in years, so this was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed that there was an interactive event on my schedule.

Grand Tasting Tent

What a way to end our trip! We finished off the day with a trip back to the beach at the Grand Tasting Tent, which is exactly what it sounds like. It was a super windy day, and it had been raining on and off (that’s Florida for you), so I was very appreciative of the Capital One tent for a reprieve from the weather. Inside the tent (which was equipped with seating and a charging station) we got to do a fun taste test of the miracle berry, which comes from the Synsepalum dulcificum plant, and turns sour and bitter things sweet!

Thank you again so much Capital One for inviting me on this incredible trip!

Give my IGTV a watch:

I was a guest of Capital One for the SOBEWFF, but this post is not sponsored. I have not been compensated to share my thoughts online.
