2016

Without a doubt, 2016 was hands down the best year of my entire life. Here are a few reasons why.

I had the best 21st birthday celebration weekend ever. Complete with mimosas, a sparkly dress, and being showered with love by my friends and family.

I took a hard look at my life and chose to cut out dairy and meat and focus on bettering my body and soul. I took amazing exercise classes and ate a ton of delicious vegan food. I lost over 15 pounds and have never felt better. Check out my vegan grocery essentials.

I studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France for three weeks and made amazing new friends and memories. Clearly stripes and denim jackets were worn every day.

After I finished in Aix, I traveled by myself for two weeks to Nice, Monaco, and Paris. This was the best experience of my life thus far. If you have the chance to travel alone, take it. I promise you won't regret it. Read all about my trip.

I had some amazing blog partnerships and created this new site! Having more lifestyle focused content on a streamlined site was something I wanted to create for a while, and I'm so happy I finally did it.

I traveled to Los Angeles with my best friends. Even though this trip was just over a month into the semester, we all definitely needed a break from reality for a few days. Sam + Jennie have been by my side through all of college since we lived together freshman year and got me through the rough parts of the year. We joke that we'd be living in individual gutters if it weren't for each other, but I can't imagine life without them in it. See more sunny snaps from our trip.

I cast my vote for the first time in a presidential election.

Emerson, thank you for the best 3.5 years of my life. I'm done! 🎓

2016 was a year of firsts and milestones. It was a year of traveling and exploration. It was a year where my true friends and family were there for me like never before. It was my best and happiest year ever. Cheers to 2017!
